Another Perfect Day

sunset2

Gail and I watched the sunset together this evening. With lots of “Oh, wows!” ::)

Our high temperature today was a sunny 76 degrees.

It was perfect for a long walk (for me) with Sheba.  Mike had gone to Jacksonville today and Ron puttered around, leaving the afternoon for Gail and I to bask in the gorgeous weather together and in just being with each other.   That opportunity has been a long time coming.

Ron and I are heading to Eastbank COE Tuesday for a week.  Then we’ll come back here and camp with Mike and Gail for 2 days, and then we’ll both leave here and go to Suwannee River State Park for a week.

Some areas are still soggy from the rain last week.

Then Gail and Mike close on their new house.  We’ll head South and give them a while to settle in before we head to their place for a while.

Right now our camping agenda depends solely on what campgrounds have vacancies and what we can afford.  It’s a fun way to camp.

Ron hasn't quite recognized that the Casita has limited space for junk food! :D

Junk food shelf! That’s a novel use for it 🙂 We are on our way to FL now. Have had a few challenges getting on the road but that will make being there all the sweeter.

    • Isn’t that shelf funny So much for a neat, tidy camper!

I am so glad you are on the way. The past few days have been cold, but it’s warm again for a while… maybe just to give you a decent welcome to Florida! 🙂

  2. The coffee and the triscuits can stay . . .

  3. What a fun long ride you are on….so happy you and Gail are hanging out!!!

Sounds like you have great travel plans. I can only imagine how fantastic sunset must have been..the camera does good, but nothing beats it in person!

    • The camera is very good at some things, but doesn’t do so well with others. But I haven’t been able to capture real sunset colors since an old Nikon Coolpix years ago.

It feels so very wonderful to be here instead of home! I hope it takes a long time for us to feel ready to go back. Like maybe spring! 🙂

  5. sounds like a great time your all having. Looking forward to more pictures of more places.

  6. While you are at Eastbank, if you see some gators be sure to take pics. I heard there are 2 1/2 gators per acre. that is a LOT of gators. They were all hiding when we were there.

Enjoy, sounds like a great time

    • Wayne, when we were there before, we didn’t see any gators, but one woman saw one and warned me about walking Sunny in the area. 2-1/2 gators per acre IS a lot of them!

I’ll keep my camera handy. 🙂

  7. Hanging with your sister in a campground – the perfect way to spend time. The graceful trees with their Spanish moss makes your campground look (deceptively?) peaceful. Ahhh

    • No, it’s not deceptively peaceful. It’s absolutely perfect! We are spending as much time together today as we can because Ron and I leave for a week tomorrow. 🙂

  8. Junk Food???…..a closer look reveals, to me at least, the Governments recognized basic food groups!! :)…..Safe Travels and thanks for sharing!…Horst sends
