Red Green Explained :D

The other day I made fun of my garbage-bag-taped-over-the-refrigerator-vent emergency repair, and I captioned the picture with, “Red Green would be so proud!”

Several people asked me who Red Green was.  I thought everyone knew!

The Red Green Show ran on PBS back in the 90’s.  It depicted the misadventures of the world’s most bumbling handyman and the disastrous results of his endeavors.

Here’s a short clip of his instructions on how to mix paint:

And I thought you were referring to colors of a NOAA map… Teehee

Never saw this show..what a hoot!

    • It was funny. I used to howl at his misadventures. Always trying shortcuts that always went wonky. 😀

That’s funny you should mention that.
Your pic is up but it doesn’t link for me.

    • Tim, I just clicked the link and it works for me. Maybe retry it?

Good to hear from you anyway! 🙂

Glad you explained…..he was also unknown to me! But I just assumed that I had missed a blog somewhere.

    • I realized that when my sisters didn’t even know who he was, I’d better explain! He had a cult following almost.

  4. That’s hilarious! How did I miss that show?

  5. He was on PBS here for quite some time and He may still be I just don’t last that long anymore. It was on pretty late on Sat.

Love your blog. Got a chuckle remembering the Red Green show, like the duct tape car repair.

    • I think of him a lot when I have to do temporary fixes on things! Thanks for your kind words about the blog. 🙂
