No Scamp This Time

The owner of the Scamp I was interested in sent photos this evening.

I had asked her to take photos of the floor and it looked great.  Everything looked great, in fact — except the bathroom.  It had a lot of problems, and since I’ve sworn off fixer-uppers, I passed on this one.

So back to the old proverbial drawing board.  🙂

  1. Rats! Your search with bring you to the one for you.

  2. I’m sure the ‘right one’ will come along! It’s best to wait!

    • Kathy, I sure have been tempted to go out and buy a cute little Fun Finder, Coachmen Apex or KZ Spree. But when I think of the condition they will be in 5 years from now compared to the condition a molded fiberglass trailer will be in then, it makes the waiting a little easier. 🙂

  3. I’m sure you are dissapointed but you know it was the right decision and that counts for something, right? It’s good that you know what you want and are willing to wait for it.

    • Kim, I’ve decided I’ll probably just order a new one next spring.

I have decided what I want. That, in itself, was a big hurdle! 🙂

  4. You did the right thing. Bathroom problems are a real headache. Did you know it takes 6 mths to order a new one. Theres a blog I read called rvsue and her canine crew . Sue just started solo fulltiming in a brand new casita she is in heaven.

Keep searching something will come your way , used or new.

    • Hi, JoJo,

Yes, I know it takes months when you order a new one. That’s why I’m hoping to find a used one in time to go home for Thanksgiving. I am starting to accept that might not happen though!

I follow rvsue religiously. It’s a fascinating insight into tiny trailer living fulltime.

If I didn’t mind going into debt for a new rig, I could order it now. If I don’t find anything used this winter, I will probably order a new one next summer.
